What is K7 Evaluation System?

It is a neuromuscular system that is a highly-advanced computer system that binds 3 very sharp instruments in order to judge the best relaxed, physiological position for your jaws. Through this system, Dr. Safarian will be able to bring your jaws to the most relaxed position. Here, are the 3 main instruments that combine to make the K7 Evaluation System:

  • CMS (Computerized Mandibular Scanner )– This instrument checks the movements of the jaws in 3D and analyzes the closing and opening speed of your jaws.
  • EMG (Electromyography) — The electrical impulses of your jaw muscles are recorded by this instrument of the K7 system. This helps Dr. Safarian to understand the degree to which your jaw muscles are strained due to misalignment.
  • Joint Electro-sonography — A sharp microphone is used for this one to judge the grinding, popping and clicking sounds emitted while you open and shut your jaws.
